✨ Pre-Chemical Peel Prep Guide ✨ Start prepping 10–14 days before your chemical peel to get the best results and minimize risks. ✅ Why Prepping Matters: ✔ Reduces risk of irritation or complications ✔ Boosts effectiveness and penetration of your peel ✔ Encourages even skin tone and texture ✔ Promotes faster post-peel healing 🗓 Your Step-by-Step Pre-Peel Routine: 1. Cleanser (Use Daily) 🧼 Purpose: Clears oil and debris, prepping skin for actives. Basic: Cetaphil, CeraVe Medical-Grade: ZO Gentle Cleanser, SkinCeuticals Purifying Cleanser 2. Exfoliation (Max 3x/Week) ✨ Purpose: Boosts cell turnover for better product absorption. Basic: Pixi Glow Tonic Medical-Grade: ZO Exfoliating Polish, SkinMedica AHA/BHA Cream ❗ Stop exfoliating 3–4 days before your peel. 3. Antioxidant Serum (AM Only) 🛡 Purpose: Strengthens and protects your skin from free radicals. Basic: The Ordinary, TruSkin Vitamin C Medical-Grade: ZO 10% Vitamin C, SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic 4. Moisturizer (Daily) 💧 Purpose: Hydrates and supports healing. Basic: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Medical-Grade: Alastin Ultra Nourishing, ZO Hydrating Crème 5. SPF (MUST — Daily Use!) ☀️ Purpose: Prevents sun damage & post-peel pigmentation. Basic: La Roche-Posay, CeraVe SPF 30+ Medical-Grade: EltaMD, ZO Sunscreen + Primer SPF 30 6. Optional: Retinol / Tretinoin 📌 Only if directed by your provider Use to boost cell turnover Stop 5–7 days before your peel to reduce irritation ❌ Avoid Before Your Peel: Waxing, threading, facial hair removal (5–7 days prior) Retinol, tretinoin, AHA/BHA, benzoyl peroxide (3–7 days prior) Harsh exfoliants or scrubs Excessive sun exposure or tanning beds Trying new/unfamiliar skincare products 💡 Pro Tip: Medical-grade products = Better results, faster healing. VIRTUAL ASSESSMENT Prior to any Aesthetic Services A good faith exam is a medical evaluation that a licensed healthcare provider performs to determine if a procedure or treatment is appropriate for a patient. It's also known as a pre-authorization exam, clearance exam, initial exam, or physical exam. Our NP will go over medical history, allergies, any previous services. She will go over how procedure is done step by step. She will go over any side effects and aftercare instructions. We want you to ensure that you are educated thoroughly prior to your service. You will receive a link via text, for your Virtual Assessment to be completed with one of our Highly Trained NP Jenna prior to your appointment. We typically aim to get it completed 24hours prior to your appointment. Virtual Assessment/ GFE is needed prior to service. Please log-in at least 10 minutes early and make sure you have access to good internet. If you are having problems with the link, please reach out to our Spa Assistant Christine 330-906-9763. If you miss you GFE with our NP there will be a 30$ rebooking. We personally reach out to you to ensure that we have the perfect time selected by YOU. FIRST TIME CLIENTS Effective July 2, 2025 all first time clients are REQUIRED TO DO A TWO WEEK FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENT. CONSENT FORMS All services performed by Registered Nurse, REQUIRE you to fill out consent forms and questionnaires, they will be sent to your email from Aesthetic Records. All consent forms MUST be completed prior to appointments. If you have question, please contact Christine our Spa. Please have your forms filled out prior to your scheduled appointment time. If you are unable to fill out forms prior to your scheduled appointment please arrive 15 minutes early. If forms are not filled prior and you do not arrive to the office 15 minutes prior to your appointment. Your appointment may need to be rescheduled and a fee of $50 will apply.
