Dye-VL Vascular Treatment
is a light-based therapy performed with the Alma Harmony XL
Service Description
Dye-VL (Dye-Pulsed Light) vascular treatment is a noninvasive cosmetic procedure that uses narrow-band light technology to target vascular and pigmented skin lesions. It operates on similar principles to pulsed dye lasers but integrates with multi-application systems like Harmony XL PRO. The treatment is designed to improve facial redness, telangiectasia, and rosacea with minimal downtime. Key Facts Technology: Narrow-band pulsed light (500–600 nm) Primary uses: Facial vascular lesions, rosacea, hemangiomas, broken capillaries Treatment duration: 15–30 minutes per session Downtime: Minimal to none Typical course: 3–5 sessions spaced weeks apart How It Works Dye-VL delivers a series of light pulses that selectively heat oxyhemoglobin in superficial blood vessels. This causes vessel coagulation and gradual absorption by the body without damaging surrounding tissue. The wavelength range is optimized to match absorption peaks of hemoglobin, ensuring precise targeting and uniform skin tone improvement. Applications and Results It is commonly used for treating rosacea-related redness, spider veins, poikiloderma, and vascular birthmarks. Patients usually notice visible improvement after a few sessions, with cumulative benefits in evenness of complexion and vascular clarity. The procedure can be combined with other modalities in comprehensive photorejuvenation protocols. Safety and Side Effects Dye-VL is considered safe for light to medium skin types when performed by trained professionals. Temporary redness, mild swelling, or darkening of treated vessels can occur but typically resolve within days. Sun protection before and after treatment reduces the risk of pigmentary changes.
