Kybella is the only FDA-approved injectable treatment that destroys fat cells in the area under the chin /desired area to improve your profile. Kybella is a prescription medicine to treat moderate to severe submental fat (fat below the chin), commonly known as a double chin. Submental fullness is harmless fat that tends to gather and accumulate under the chin. Kybella is a good treatment for adults of all ages. The active ingredient in Kybella is a synthetic version of deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally-occurring molecule in the body (a salt in human bile that helps with fat digestion) that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into an area, it permanently destroys fat cells, so those cells will no longer accumulate or store fat. Kybella is a non-surgical option that melts fat via multiple injections over a few months. No numbing cream is required, but we are nice and will numb you. The entire injection process takes about 15 to 20 minutes.
